Reflow soldering

RT1 series relays feature one CO or one NO contact with 12 A or 16 A rated current. The pcb manufacturer components are available with either an AC coil (+70°C ambient temperature) or a sensitive DC coil (400 mW coil power, +85°C ambient temperature). All versions feature a 5 kV/10 mm coil contact and reinforced insulation. Target applications are industrial control, timers, garage door control, POS automation and interface modules.

RT2 series relays feature two poles with 8 A rated current in a CO or NO contact configuration. The devices are available with either an AC coil (+70°C ambient temperature) or a sensitive DC coil (400 mW coil power, +85°C ambient temperature). The devices benefit from a 5 kV/10 mm coil contact and reinforced insulation. Target applications are domestic appliances, heating control, emergency lighting and modems.

Both RT1 and RT2 series relays can be used for forced convection and vapour phase soldering.

Tyco Electronics now offers power pcb relays suitable for THR (through-hole reflow) soldering processes. Using innovative constructions featuring new plastic materials, RYII series, RT1 series and RT2 series power PCB relays are able to withstand temperatures up to 265°C during reflow soldering processes and meet modern requirements for insulation and switching capacity.

The RYII series relay features one pole with 8 A rated current and one CO, one NO or one NC contact. The device benefits from a low height of only 12,3 mm, reinforced insulation (protection class II) and a 5 kV/8 mm coil contact. Pin separations are 3,2 mm and 5 mm. The relays are suitable for applications such as heating control, interface technology, domestic appliances, timers and temperature control.
